New Adventure Zone comes to Mote Park
Maidstone Borough Council is creating a new destination offer in Mote Park.
Summer 2018 will see the opening of a brand new Adventure Zone. The Adventure Zone will offer high ropes, mini adventure golf, climbing walls as well as Segway Safaris.
Set within Mote Park, Maidstone's 'jewel in the crown' grade 2 listed 460 acre park, only a 10 minute walk from the Town centre and visited by over a million visitors a year, the facility will be operated by SERCO on behalf of the council and forms part of the long term investments planned by the Council in improving the visitor offer across the borough.
Following initial works, which are expected to be ready by the end of the summer, the park is also expected to welcome a new visitor centre and improved parking facilities in 2019.
Kier construction is carrying out the works and will take around 7 months to complete. Paul Abrahams, Kier operations director, said: “We are delighted to be working alongside the local council on such an important community project. This scheme will be a great asset to the area and we are looking forward to delivering this project to the highest standard, leaving a lasting legacy for families to enjoy.”
The new Adventure Zone will open in the summer of 2018 and the will be a great place for local business events, corporate days and family fun.
