The i-Construct project is part funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and will help small to medium sized companies working in the construction market to access new business opportunities and improve profitability

I-Construct stands for Innovation in Construction because we know that companies need funding and support to consider how they will develop their business to win new work and respond to trends Opportunities may include the growing use of BIM, off site construction methods, the growth of renewable energy, smart buildings, regulations around zero carbon, use of automation and robotics in building and maintenance. There may be bidding opportunities for large and small projects, formation of new client groups, and consortia.

I-Construct will offer companies the opportunity to improve their competitiveness and make the most of growth opportunities through:

> A free business support programme starting with a 1-1 business growth plan assessment, introduces companies to potential new clients and offers practical and industry specific support for procurement readiness, business strategy, new technology and market development from industry experts.

> A grant scheme for SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) working in the construction market who plan to develop a new product or service and need financial support to de risk their investment SMEs can secure up to £20,000 grant contribution for a project, which does not have to be repaid (30% of total project cost)

> Membership of the I Construct network which offers profile raising support, local events and networking opportunities with clients, industry experts and other SMEs

> A new i-Construct hub building opening in 2021 which SMEs working in or supplying to, construction markets can use through the project for business development and new product or service launches

> A technology suite which will allow companies to try new software and equipment and explore how new technology could help drive long term profitability.
