FREE EVENT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES TO SIGNPOST MENTAL HEALTH AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT

30 Sep 2020

Taking care of mental wellbeing has positive effects on both health and business productivity. To support small business owners and the self-employed through the changing times of the global COVID-19 pandemic, FSB Kent has organised a conference focusing on mental health and effectively managing finances.

Keynote speakers include Deputy Insolvency and Companies Judge of the High Court Judge Baister; Kent County Council Councillor Diane Marsh and Ruth Duncan of insolvency firm Maxwell Davies.

Diane Marsh, Kent County Council Deputy Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health says, “The past few months have put a great strain on many of us. The national lockdown and changes to the way businesses have had to operate means that our mental health has been impacted too. We have developed a media hub at Kent County Council where all partners share good clear advice on keeping safe and well. I will make sure that’s shared and available and will be pleased to highlight it at this event.”

Tracey Westell, FSB Kent Area Leader and Director of Pecunia 2016 Ltd says, “There have been many financial challenges and obstacles to business over the past six months. This event will look ahead and highlight key dates in the financial calendar, so we can prepare for what we know will be coming. We will also provide lots of hints and tips on how to manage the unpredictable.”

Ruth Duncan, Maxwell Davies says, “Running a business is a huge commitment. When things go wrong it can be devastating not only financially, but personally. In these times of uncertainty and stress Maxwell Davies can provide expert business support to bring you the assurance that your financial difficulties will be handled effectively, with empathy and confidentiality. Knowing the impact it can have upon your quality of life is why we offer our first initial consultation for free.

The event will take place via ZOOM webinar. Questions can be submitted in advance to sarah.lilly@fsb.org.uk. A live chat function will enable attendees to submit questions during the event.

All business owners and the self-employed are encouraged to attend. Book here: https://www.fsb.org.uk/event-calendar/fsb-kent-how-to-effectively-manage-your-finances-and-your-mental-health.html
